How do I know if I need personal training or physical therapy?

This is a great question because it encapsulates a really important piece of the WHY of our business model. People getting physical therapy through traditional avenues often experience a similar pattern wherein they get a bit better, but not all the way back to where they were, and then their insurance coverage ends. There is a gap between medically necessary care and thriving like where you were before an injury and that is where our model can really help people get all the way back to feeling like themselves, pun intended.

Our opinion is that after an injury most people would benefit from both physical therapy and then personal training. The insurance based model of telling patients “you are healthy enough, good luck” is unfortunate because it ends up causing people to get stuck with lingering issues/pain, or lacking the confidence to return to doing whatever activities they enjoy in life.

Here is an example: You love to hike 14ers but you had a fall and you broke your ankle. You go through rehab and get back to normal range of motion, but your calf and foot muscles are still weak from wearing the boot/cast, you have pain occasionally and you feel a little unstable on uneven surfaces. You rarely have issues walking normally. You would likely have reached the end of your insurance coverage for physical therapy for the broken ankle. With our cash pay blended model we can progress your recovery to the point where you are confident on uneven or unstable surfaces and then move you into a more personal training style approach where we focus on strengthening beyond your starting point so that we can reduce the risk of this injury happening again. Injury and pain comes with fear and anxiety, our approach makes you feel whole and helps you build confidence and understanding in your body. We want to give you a roadmap to health that includes tools to become a stronger and more confident version of yourself.

Hope to see you soon!
