Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. Get Back offers one-on-one boxing lessons in Denver for beginners, recreational clients, and people who want a more personalized way to learn boxing or use it for fitness.
-
Not at all. A lot of people start with zero experience. We can teach the basics from the ground up, including stance, footwork, punching technique, coordination, and how to move comfortably without feeling lost.
-
That depends on your goals. A session may include technique work, footwork, bag work, conditioning, coordination drills, and general fitness. We adjust the session based on your experience level and what you actually want to get out of it.
-
Absolutely. Boxing is a great way to work on cardio, coordination, and overall fitness without doing the same treadmill workout over and over. If your main goal is to get in better shape and have a more interesting workout, we can build the session around that.
-
Yes. One-on-one coaching is actually a great place to start if a group class feels intimidating. You can learn at your own pace, ask questions, and get feedback without trying to keep up with a room full of people.
-
It depends on what’s going on, but we can usually modify the session around your limitations. Since Get Back also offers physical therapy and personal training, we can look at the bigger picture if pain or an old injury is getting in the way of training.
-
Not unless that is specifically part of the plan and appropriate for your goals. Most private lessons can focus on fundamentals, pad work, bag work, footwork, and conditioning without needing to spar.
-
Yes. Boxing involves a lot of timing, footwork, hand-eye coordination, and full-body movement. That makes it a useful option for people who want to improve coordination and balance while also getting a workout.
-
That depends on your goals, schedule, and how quickly you want to progress. Some people come once a week, while others train more often. We can help you figure out a schedule that makes sense without overcomplicating it.
-
We may be able to work with younger athletes depending on age, goals, and experience level. Sessions can be adjusted to focus on fundamentals, coordination, fitness, and confidence.
-
The big difference is that everything is one-on-one and built around you. You are not dropped into a class and expected to keep up. We can adjust the pace, technique work, conditioning, and overall session based on your goals, fitness level, and any limitations you may have.
Dr. Brett Green
Founder | Physical Therapist & Personal Trainer
Growing up as a three-sport athlete and playing collegiate baseball, I developed a deep passion for movement, performance, and overall well-being. That passion led me to pursue a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University, where I honed my expertise in rehabilitation and fitness.
After spending several years in insurance-based clinics, I realized I wanted to offer more to my patients—more time, more personalized care, and more effective solutions for long-term health. That’s why I founded Get Back PT and Performance: to bridge the gap between physical therapy and fitness, helping people move better, feel stronger, and live pain-free.
I provide one-on-one, hour-long sessions tailored to your specific needs, whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to improve mobility, or striving for peak performance. My goal is to help you reduce pain now so you can improve function and health for the long run.
Let’s work together to build a healthier, stronger you!
